Let’s clear things up.
What we know, what we’re working toward, and what’s still to be decided.
Can I download KronoCAD today?
Not yet. KronoCAD is in development. Create an account and opt in to release updates to follow its progress. We haven’t announced a release date.
Is KronoCAD only for Linux?
Linux is our first release target. Windows and macOS releases are planned afterward. Supported versions and hardware requirements will be announced with preview builds.
Will it open my DXF and DWG files?
Full DXF and DWG compatibility is a development goal, with DXF as the primary format. Tested format versions and known limitations will be published before release.
How much will KronoCAD cost?
Pricing and licensing are still being decided. There are no paid plans, preorders, or subscriptions available today.
Is KronoCAD open source?
The licensing model has not been announced. Linux-first does not imply an open-source license. We’ll publish licensing details before release.
Can I bring my AutoCAD workflow?
The goal is an approachable transition for 2D drafters. Migration guidance, command references, and file checks will follow as the application becomes ready to test.
Let’s draw something better.
Follow the build. Be here for what comes next.
